A three day festival of nature
Green Wedmore are delighted to bring you Wilder Wedmore - a jam packed long weekend of walks, talks, workshops and stands all about nature.

We aim to help all local residents get to know the wildlife around us, encourage more time spent outdoors and explore simple ways in which we can all help biodiversity.
Visit the Clarkson & Woods Bio-blitz team and get ID on local wildlife found or photographed. Make a bee hotel (kindly sponsored by Charles Barnard) with Wedmore Men’s Shed or purchase a pollinator plant from the nectar bar. Carl Bovis will have wildlife photography on display and for sale. Neil Ellis has made bird boxes for sale, kindly sponsored by Somerlap. Come and make some nature mandala art with Sarena Mason from Birchmoon, or join in with some free kid’s craft. Lots of stalls to visit and café serving drinks and homemade cakes.
Colouring Competition!
We are having a colouring competition! For upto 15 year olds. Download and print off the colouring sheets. Bring your completed sheet to the festival on Saturday to Fred Giles our grasshopper expert on the Avalon Recorders stand. Please include your name and a contact number on the sheet.
The winners will be accounced at the end of the All about Grasshoppers talk. Three great prizes await!
